A few years ago now, Neil Gaiman came up with this genius idea for lovers of both Hallowe'en, and books.
It's called All Hallow's Read. The premise is simple: give a scary book to a friend or family member this Hallowe'en (although if you want to see Neil describe it himself, I do really recommend watching this video). The level of scary is entirely up to you; personally, I prefer the unsettling, eerie, magical, and mysterious over the outright scary (actually, I'll be reading Stephen King's The Stand throughout probably most of October— the thing is huge).
So, as a gift from me to you, I'm hosting an All Hallow's Read giveaway! All you have to do is enter your email for a chance to win the book of your choice from the list of recommendations below and a copy of the Fall 2016 edition of The Mindful Mag.
Don't see your Halloween book of choice listed here? Let me know what it is in the comments below!
Recommended Hallowe'en Reads (of various levels of scary-ness)
the giveaway is now closed.
A winner will be chosen at random on October 14th (so your book has a good chance of making it to you by Hallowe'en)— you'll hear from me by email if you're chosen, so keep an eye out!
